Alice
1 pound lb flour, 1 pound lb Sugar, mix them together
¾ pound lb Butter, melt it without
water, work- it into the flour and
sugar, roll it out & cut into shapes-
Greens
Greens should be boil[e]’d in the hardest
water that can be got- the pot should
not be covere’d - a little salt should
be put in, & a soft piece of [Butt]
butter may be thrown on the water if
you wish them particularly nice -
